We deliver integrated janitorial services, cleaning services and school crossing patrol services for Angus, Dundee City and Perth and Kinross Councils. We deliver these services to over 430 premises across Tayside.
The provision of the School Crossing Patrol Service, although not a statutory requirement, is a service which is well regarded and appreciated by the school community. The provision of this service is a major factor in road safety in the journey to and from school for large numbers of the school population and wider community.
School Crossing Patroller operate 190 days per year during school term time.
School Crossing Patrollers are trained by Tayside Contracts and have the authority to stop traffic when they are wearing the approved uniform and carrying the correct 'stop' sign, and it is an offence for drivers not to stop.
The School Crossing Patrol service is delivered in accordance with the guidelines provided by Road Safety GB, LARSOA, ROSPA and the 'School Crossing Patrol Service Handbook'.
School crossing patrol sites are established at the Councils' request based on set criteria.
It should be noted that ultimately, parents are responsible for their children's safety on route to and from school. This is regardless of whether a School Crossing Patrol is provided.

Cleaning services are provided for the 3 constituent councils of Angus, Dundee City and Perth and Kinross as well as other non-council customers. Staff are geared to deliver a high quality service all year round, and quality plays a significant role with the cleaning service to ensure that a high standard of hygiene and health is promoted. All our staff are multi-skilled and have been trained to the highest standards. We use modern equipment which is colour coded for use in different areas. Client and self-monitoring systems ensure that we achieve these standards consistently, so much so that Dunbarney Primary School won the British Institute of Cleaning Science (Scottish Branch) Albert Grant award in 2003 for the outstanding cleanliness of the school.
