What is an Apprenticeship?

An apprenticeship is a great place to begin your career journey. From the moment you begin your Modern Apprenticeship with Tayside Contracts, you will have exposure to real-life working environments.

Apprentice people

Our apprenticeship programmes combine a mix of working, and academic learning. This means that you will spend most of your time working in the role, receiving on-the-job training and support from experienced employees and managers, and you will also be required to attend the relevant college to complete the academic side.

What Modern Apprenticeships does Tayside Contracts offer?

We currently have two main modern apprenticeship programmes:

Apprentice Roadworker (Construction)Apprentice Mechanic (Transport)

What age do you need to be to apply for a Modern Apprenticeship?

If you are aged 16 or over, you can apply for a Modern Apprentice.

Does Tayside Contracts offer any Graduate-based roles?

We have a Project Engineer (Graduate) role based in our Construction team.  This position is ideal for a recent civil engineering graduate, as you will be able to apply your learning from college/university by joining our team to work on a number of road maintenance schemes along with large infrastructure and environmental projects across a fixed term 4-year contract.  If you are interested in this role and have the right to work in the UK, please email recruitment@tayside-contracts.co.uk
