Training Services

A business can't begin to operate at its optimum level until it realises the full potential of its people. With this in mind Tayside Contracts is heavily committed to investment in training. We have established our own Training Centre staffed by a dedicated team. By giving our people the opportunity to enhance their skills we benefit as an organisation but more importantly our customers benefit. In February 2003 our efforts were rewarded with corporate accreditation as an Investor in People.

Our Training Centre has approved status from the following organisations:

• Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA)
• Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM)
• Royal Environmental Health Institute of Scotland (REHIS)
• British Institute of Cleaning Science (BICS)
• British Sign and Graphics Association (BSGA)
• Equipment Operators Registration Scheme (EORS)
• Construction Services Certification Scheme (CSCS)

Courses are offered, ranging from basic induction training to higher level instruction on health and safety, roadworks, cleaning, street lighting, vehicle maintenance, small plant plus assessment for national awards such as Scottish and National Vocational Qualifications. Courses can be standard or tailored to suit individual customer requirements. We also have professional and management development training programmes for supervisors and managers.
