Award for Building Cleaning Excellence – Most Improved Team or Individual

This award is for an individual or team who has displayed exceptional personal improvement in developing their skills and knowledge and has exceeded the expectations of their manager, supervisor or colleagues. The winner will have demonstrated an outstanding ability to collaborate and co-operate with others, while providing excellent customer care and service and will have achieved service improvements and efficiencies.

Finalists 
Maureen Thomson, St Clement’s Primary, Dundee – Maureen is fondly described as a great role model due to the exacting standards that she has set and maintained. The school is a joy to visit, there is a great atmosphere and everyone takes pride in their school. 

Donna Scott, Downfield Primary, Dundee – Donna was recently promoted to Lead Cleaner at Downfield Primary and she immediately set standards and improved morale within the team. Donna often works beyond her contracted hours to ensure that the school is ready for use every morning.

Avril Forbes, Grove Academy, Dundee – Avril consistently achieves all targets set, ensuring a safe working environment and that all staff are trained to the highest standards. With Avril her job comes first and she is a dedicated, loyal and committed employee.

Winner – Maureen Thomson, Dundee. Maureen goes beyond the call of duty and treats the pupils as if they were her own children. She has often treated less fortunate pupils to snacks at her own expense, simply because she cares. Maureen has overcome health issues, but even during this difficult period of her life she continued to visit the staff at the school to offer advice and guidance.
