This award is presented to a team that works and performs exceptionally well together, excels in their everyday activity demonstrating innovation and achieving service improvements and efficiencies, who achieve high standards in performance and customer care and who have high skills and knowledge of their jobs.

Finalists
Claypotts Castle Primary School Cleaning Team, Dundee – Lynn leads the team, which consistently delivers an excellent cleaning service on a daily basis. The team are described as well organised and courteous, with a ‘can-do’ attitude and contribute greatly to the smooth running of the school on a daily basis. 

Construction Operations Team, Dundee – led by Scott the team delivers the operational maintenance service to various clients within Dundee City Council and the private sector. The team have worked hard at taking on board corporate areas of improvement, such as fuel efficiency savings, whilst implementing lean construction techniques. The team has a high level of enthusiasm, initiative and commitment.

Safety & Training Section – led by Ron the team consistently deliver high levels of customer satisfaction to both internal and external customers. They deliver their service with passion and enthusiasm and are always aware of their client’s needs. They focus on delivering friendly, professional, affordable and effective training solutions.

Tay Cuisine Catering Unit, Dundee – Gary and Jane manage the state of the art cook chill facility (Tay Cuisine) with a dedicated team of 28. Tay Cuisine produces and despatches 1,000 meals seven days a week to the elderly and infirm of Dundee. The team strive to provide and excellent service to a diverse customer group with equally diverse needs and demands.

Winner – Tay Cuisine, Dundee. In addition to preparing the daily lunch and tea menu the team at Tay Cuisine have created a calendar of events spanning the year so that they can offer a themed menu on a monthly basis. The team are also on hand as part of the civil emergencies contingency and are required to be responsive, offering food and refreshments to the community in the event of any large scale local incidents.
