Tayside Contracts as a local authority has a legal duty to promote race, disability and gender equality. This involves preparing and publishing a race, disability and gender equality scheme setting out how we will meet the general and specific duties. Our intention is to develop a Single Equality Scheme incorporating these three equality strands for Joint Committee approval in March 2010.
In order to meet our duties we have a requirement to consult and involve employees, service users, trade unions and our other stakeholders in the development of our scheme.
This is your opportunity to tell us what you think we can improve as we will take on board your suggestions in the development of our new Single Equality Scheme.
