Responsibilities

Includes all aspects concerning the planning, development, control, maintenance, implementation and subsequent internal auditing of Tayside Contracts Quality and Environmental Management Systems, ensuring compliance against the relevant International and British Standards.
Corporate Waste Management and Sustainability (Link to Corporate Waste Management Policy)
The development and implementation of a strategic approach to the corporate management of waste within Tayside Contracts, to meet the requirements of the Scottish Governments “Scotland’s Zero Waste Plan”.
Business Continuity and Resilience (Link to Business Continuity and Resilience Policy)
The development and implementation of processes, procedures and plans to provide Tayside Contracts with the ability to ensure continuity of service, support for its customers, to keep critical business operations functioning and to maintain its viability during and after an event of serious disruption to normal business activities.
Development and Maintenance
Policies, procedures and associated documentation development and maintenance is carried out in consultation with Tayside Contracts employees, to establish accuracy, consistency of approach, adherence to legislation, ensuring delivery of a quality product to meet or surpass our customer’s requirements.
3rd Party Accreditation
The British Standards Institution (BSI), externally audit and monitor adherence and compliance of the Tayside Contracts Quality and Environmental management systems and activities covered by our scope of registration for the following International Standards and the appropriate National Highway Sector Schemes to which Tayside Contracts is subscribed to.
The United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) externally audit and monitor adherence and compliance of the Tayside Contracts Collace Quarry Laboratory quality management system for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories.
