Tayside Contracts Cleaning Division works in partnership with all its customers to develop and deliver a Cleaning Service to premises ranging from small rural schools to major secondary schools, office complexes, sports centres and a variety of other premises.
Professional Cleaning Services
Cleaning services are provided for the 3 constituent Councils of Dundee City, Perth & Kinross and Angus as well as other non-council customers, and staff are geared to deliver a high quality service all year round. Quality plays a significant role with the cleaning service to ensure that a high standard of hygiene and health is promoted. All our staff are multi-skilled and have been trained to the highest standards. We use modern equipment which is colour coded for use in different areas. Client and self-monitoring systems ensure that we achieve these standards consistently, so much so that Dunbarney Primary School won the British Institute of Cleaning Science (Scottish Branch) Albert Grant award in 2003 for the outstanding cleanliness of the school.

A recent addition to the cleaning portfolio is the cleaning of ‘landings and stairwells’ in selected tenements and high rise properties. This began in the Lochee housing area of Dundee early in June 2003 and it is hoped to build on the experience we are gaining to take on other properties belonging to the Council and Housing Associations over the forthcoming months. The weekly drudge for tenants to sweep and mop the stairs in the ‘closies’ will hopefully be a thing of the past in 2 to 3 years time.
