Tay Cuisine Helps Beat the Big Freeze

Staff at Tay Cuisine, Tayside Contracts cook-chill facility in Dundee went into overdrive during the recent severe winter weather ensuring that Dundee City Counci's meals on wheels service did not miss a single delivery.

Despite the many days of snowfall and sub-zero temperatures, this essential service continued to provide over 1000 hearty meals for delivery to around 800 Dundee residents every day, seven days a week including Christmas and New Years Day.

Dundee City Council social work and health convener Jim Barrie praised the work of staff. He said "They have been doing a tremendous job to ensure people across Dundee have continued to receive services during the severe weather."
